In English class, students are writing and illustrating reports called pictographs. These are large graphs sectioned into 15 boxes, each containing a mini-report and pictures.

Students are creating an illustrated report
called a PICTOGRAPH, using a large sheet of
drawing paper divided into 15 boxes. We
are researching and writing in English class,
but students may wish to work at home too,
especially on the illustrations.

Deadlines:

Mon., 12/13........Six completed boxes
Thurs., 12/16......Ten boxes
Mon., 12/20 ........PICTOGRAPH COMPLETELY FINISHED

1. Appearance/Neatness: + 4
Pictures in every square.
Neatly handwritten.
Neatly drawn and colored.
Boxes are straight, drawn with a ruler.
Boxes outlined in black or color.
Boxes labeled in pen or marker.
Pictures are cut out and glued neatly and straight.
Colorful.


2. Writing + 4
Boxes are labeled.
Labels are capitalized.
Information in every box.
Spelling, punctuation, capital letters are standard.


3. Information +4
Included all required boxes from handout.
Information is a “mini-report” in length
Covered the topics with a lot of information.
Information is accurate and interesting.
